Soccer Saturdays..

It is that time of year! Soccer has begun and the kids are totally enjoying it. We will not be able to sleep in on Saturday's again until after Christmas. Quite a sacrifice, I think!! Not that I get to anyways, unless you consider 7:00 am sleeping in.? So Ellie is on the Hanalei HOTSHOTS! She is #9. She plays goalie and full back. When she plays goalie, she usually just stands there most of the quarter, since her team is always making the shots. That's right.. her team ROCKS! They had a rocky first game, but now, 5 weeks in, they are on top!! She loves to play, and we love supporting. It is a lot of FUN! Dylan is on the Hanalei POI POUNDERS. He hates the name, but he didn't get to decide. HE is player #5.There is only 6 players on his team, with only 3 playing at a time. But usually only 4 or 5 players show up for the games. I have to say that Dylan is the best player on his team. He is the most aggressive, and the fastest runner. There isn't a goalie at this level, but he gets in there and tries to block their goal anyways. This age is really fun to watch; Even when they make a goal for the other team. They are pretty good.
