{Ellie is the one striking a pose!}
It is that time of year! Soccer has begun and the kids are totally enjoying it. We will not be able to sleep in on Saturday's again until after Christmas. Quite a sacrifice, I think!! Not that I get to anyways, unless you consider 7:00 am sleeping in.? So Ellie is on the Hanalei HOTSHOTS! She is #9. She plays goalie and full back. When she plays goalie, she usually just stands there most of the quarter, since her team is always making the shots. That's right.. her team ROCKS! They had a rocky first game, but now, 5 weeks in, they are on top!! She loves to play, and we love supporting. It is a lot of FUN! Dylan is on the Hanalei POI POUNDERS. He hates the name, but he didn't get to decide. HE is player #5.There is only 6 players on his team, with only 3 playing at a time. But usually only 4 or 5 players show up for the games. I have to say that Dylan is the best player on his team. He is the most aggressive, and the fastest runner. There isn't a goalie at this level, but he gets in there and tries to block their goal anyways. This age is really fun to
watch; Even when they make a goal for the other team. They are pretty good.

Look who had a Birthday...
So my baby boy is growing up! I hate that he is growing so fast. I can't believe it has been a year already! HE is so full of life and curiosity. He is like a human sponge, sucking in all that he can!! He sure has brought a lot of love and joy into our home. We couldn't imagine life without his smile.
He celebrated his BIG day on Monday, September 22. We had a BIG cookout down at the bay with all of our Hawaiian Ohana! We had a great turnout! We had food, and cake and Carson received so many presents (mahalo everyone)! Pretty much every toy makes some kind of sound, so our house right now sounds like an amusement park, Mahalo again:) We sure missed all of our loved ones who could not make it to this milestone celebration. We know that you all wish you could have been here! He wouldn't take a nap all day, so when his party started, he was pretty cranky! He was happiest when opening his presents at home.

Old friends return,,,
These are our neighbors, Rhonda and Lissette. We met them 4 years ago when we moved here. They lived right across the street. They move away last October. Well, they were in town last week for a quick visit and we had the pleasure of having them over for dinner. The kids were so excited. Ellie and Dylan used to spend all of their free time over at their house. They became like family to Us. IT was nice to see them again, even if it was a short visit. Hopefully the next time we'll get to spend more time with them!! And maybe next time, Carson will not be screaming....
We love you guys!!

FHE in Hanalei...
So I am late posting these pics, but it is better late than never. Every once in a while we go down to Hanalei for Family Home Evening with a few other members of the Branch. We usually meet down at "Grandpa's Beach" or as we call it Coppin's Beach. We have a potluck and mingle. It is Nice to get together with friends who share the same values and beliefs and traditions. Like FHE, whom other than LDS members even know what this is??
This is James and Carson..
Glen and Carson...
Chuck and Sparky...
Caridyn and Jeannie and Chris...
See how much Fun we have:)
